PGA Headquarters Coffee Cart Service

We had a dream the moment we heard the announcement that the PGA Headquarters was being moved to Frisco, TX in 2022 - a dream to serve their first hosted tournament.

Persistent Efforts to Connect

We knocked on the heavily locked door, dropped off cold brew, and searched through LinkedIn… and finally, we got a connection point. We initiated our conversation with who would be the one to bring us through the gates and allow us to set up shop - we were set up throughout their tournament weekend from opening day on Thursday-Saturday from 8am-2pm each of those days. We had to miss the final Sunday due to two other weddings booked that weekend.

Serving Volunteers at the KitchenAide Senior Tournament 2023

Olive Coffee Crew at PGA Frisco 2023

What they decided to utilize our coffee cart services for - was giving us the immense pleasure of serving our craft coffee to every single volunteer that they had at the KitchenAide Senior Tournament in 2023. The volunteers flocked to us and were oozing with thankfulness and excitement as they realized that we were set up for them! This being our second event to be a multi-day set up and we couldn’t have been more excited to do it! We came in the night before the tournament started with our customized simple cart and set up the entire shop right there in the main lobby of their volunteer HQ.

Intense Preparation and Customization

The preparation before setup was wild - how many milks? Bags of ice? How much syrup should we make? How many bags of espresso beans will go through? How much cold brew for 3 days of service and hundreds of people?

We were excited to solve those questions and have that great debate between caterers of being prepared but not being wasteful. We packed into our small service section the largest cooler we had and came well prepared. Batching almost 2 gallons of each syrup we would list on the menu - vanilla, brown sugar bourbon, and our chai tea. We also of course had to bring our 18-hr home brewed cold brew (which was an absolute hit!). Thankfully, because it was a KitchenAide sponsored event we had the newest KitchenAide fridge set up to use for our milk storage which is not always the case at events.

We had 1-2 baristas on the bar at all times to ensure we were providing the most excellent service we could to those already serving the tournament. No matter how many people were coming in between their breaks we served every one with diligence that kept them coming back all throughout the weekend excited to try something different then they had cup before.

Enhancing the Experience Without Cost Worries

A huge benefit to our service is your guests, volunteers or employees are not having to think about the cost of the cup. They are just having to think about what sounds great and what they want to drink in that moment. What is going to quench their thirst and give them the boost they are looking for! They get to just enjoy the experience - and that's what it's all about!

The Buzz of Craft Coffee

Serving over 300+ craft and made-to-order cups throughout the weekend, we created a buzz not just because we were serving the best caffeine around but also because the volunteers felt so special. The talk of the menu was between the iced vanilla latte or vanilla sweet cream cold brew. With the weather being perfectly sunny in the hot Texas heat iced drinks took the #1 spot for chosen order. This drink was one that gave them the boost they needed, all while creating a space for them to cool off and sit down before their next service began.

Unique PGA Experience and Anticipation for 2024

Along with our own service - we got the perk of seeing the new PGA Headquarters and a peak at the tournament all while doing what we love - serving incredible coffee. The ability to customize their experience and have the KitchenAid logo represented on the cart and cups as well - was the cherry on top for us! We can’t wait to return in 2024 to give them another craft experience alongside the beautiful game of golf.
